Author Talks (Zeno Sworder, Sachiko Kashiwaba)2023-03-08 (Wednesday)Our school has invited two authors, Mr. Zeno Sworder and Ms. Sachiko Kashiwaba (accompanied by novel translator Ms. Avery Fischer Udagawa), through Hong Kong International Literary Festival to organize talks:
"Zeno Sworder, Who Has a Story to Tell" - 6th March, 2023
"Sachiko Kashiwaba, Why Everyone Should Read World Children's Literature" - 10th March, 2023.
Students were thoroughly engaged throughout the talks and actively participated in the Q&A sessions. Both authors' works are now available for students to borrow in the school library.

Parents’ Workshop: How to Improve Children\'s Self-confidence and Self-learning Ability2023-03-04 (Saturday)PTA is honored to invite Mrs. Mak Ho Siu Kuen, Silvia to run a workshop on "How to Improve Children\'s Self-confidence and Self-learning Ability". During the workshop, Mrs. Mak shared with us her experience in nurturing children and improving their children\'s learning attitude, followed by tips of how to face adversity, and the skills to motivate children’s learning. Parents were actively engaged. After the workshop, the parents expressed that they benefited a lot.

English Debating Workshop2023-02-28 (Tuesday)On 28th February, junior form (S1-S2) classes attended an introduction to debating workshop in the school hall conducted by Mr Dunlea. First, students guessed the meaning of keywords such as "motion" and "adjudicator". Next, they watched a demo debate video. Finally, they were put into groups and had some practice debating whether "computers should replace teachers". To round up, students were invited to share their opinions for or against the motion publicly to win a snack.

Visiting Taisui Yuenchen Hall cum Members Gala2023-02-19 (Sunday)The members of the PTA were led by the members of staff of Sik Sik Yuen to visit the Wong Tai Sin Temple, as well as the " Taisui Yuenchen Hall " inside the temple. They later visited the first theme exhibition hall created by the inheritance group in Hong Kong, namely “Cultural Centre for Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs”. The staff members also prayed for our participants at the LED prayer wall by releasing the led sky lanterns at the entrance of the centre, and presented exquisite gifts to the participants. Later, we held a gala at the Fung-Ming-Hall and shared the happy moments together.

We also shared our first-hand experiences and the school life of our kids in Ho Fung College with the visitors.

Through video sharing, case studies, parent sharing and short lectures, parents learned the skills of conflict management and parenting, which were well received by parents.
