Visit to Government Laboratory

This year, a visit to the Government Laboratory in Ho Man Tin has been organized for our 15 F.5 students who study Chemistry. The Government Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, particularly in respect of analytical instrumentation, security of operations and management of laboratory waste.
During the visit, a laboratory tour and some hand-on activities were arranged. These allowed our students to understand how the government laboratory provides a wide range of analytical, investigatory and advisory services and support to enable the HKSAR Government to meet the responsibilities for law and order, food safety, public health, environmental protection and consumer protection.
It is hoped that the visit can enhance students’ interest and knowledge of laboratory-related work and the entry requirements of such a career.
