The annual Music Week organized by Music Society was held from May 20 to May 25, 2024. From students’ performances to teachers’ special performances, we were able to bring relaxation and comfort to everyone, further spreading musical enthusiasm throughout the school.
On the first day of the Music Week, different performances from students and teachers were shown in the morning assembly in the school hall. Two students performed beautiful piano pieces, OLE students from S4 performed Acapella and lastly the school Wind Band wrapped up the assembly featuring teachers who played different instruments. These performances not only gave students a chance to show their musical talents, but it’s also an excellent opportunity to enhance students' music knowledge and appreciation.
Besides the morning assembly, lunchtime concerts were held in the covered playground. Performances included singing, strings ensemble, piano playing also featured teachers as well. Holding these performances during lunchtime can give students a great time while having lunch, let go of their worries and just enjoy the musical atmosphere.
To conclude our wonderful week, Music Week can help students discover their passion or interest in music. At the same time, they enhance their understanding of how incredible music is. Most importantly, Music Week could help students reduce their pressure from the upcoming exams and just relax and immerse themselves into the world of music.
