Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Xi'an are vital cradles of Chinese civilization, carrying the glory of numerous dynasties in China's history. The ancient capital Chang'an (present-day Xi'an), in particular, was the starting point of the Silk Road, witnessing the development of exchanges between China and the outside world, making it profoundly significant to visit and explore in person.
Our school recently organized the “Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Xi'an Historical and Cultural Exploration Tour” from 28th July to 1st August. During the five-day trip, teachers and students travelled to Henan and Shaanxi provinces to explore, setting foot in numerous world-renowned cultural heritage sites and historical monuments.
Through field visits and thematic lectures, students gained first-hand knowledge of the ancient capitals' history, culture, traditional architecture, and significant archaeological discoveries. They deepened their understanding of important historical events and figures in Chinese history and appreciated the long-standing Chinese culture. This journey not only enhanced the students' understanding of the nation's history, culture, and cultural relic preservation work but also boosted their cultural confidence and national identity by appreciating the magnificence of China's historical sites.
After the tour, the students produced a video highlighting what they learned and felt during the trip. You are welcome to click and watch to share in their fruitful results.
